The jealousy of the blind

2021

Performed: Triangle library and cultural center   | 30 November-2 December 2021

The play "Den Blindes Jalousi" is inspired by the myth of Baldr's dreams; the tale of jealousy, manipulation and revenge. Newly conceived and inspired by the West African religion, Yoruba, the two faiths are intertwined and focus on the tradition of verbal retelling. The narrative and visuals are shaped by this type of story, and thus the boundary between narrator and audience is broken. And because the traditional framework of the theater is being broken, something is expected of the audience. They don't just have to follow along, they have to participate in the play.
